I had a technical delay a month ago coming out of YYZ. I was with two other gold card holders - one who does premium economy like me - so must travel a fair bit.

When I said "ah that'll be 600 euros each then" as they announced the 'technical fault' reason for the delay both of these people stared at me like I was crazy.

I explained about EU261 ... I think they still thought I was bonkers.
