While this is FLYertalk I think a lot of people visualize the land border crossing style where it's an all in one with secondary review done off to the side. Many people will say, "When I went through Customs" to indicated Immigrations & Customs even though Immigration is usually first & the more time intensive process.

I see more mistakes between CBP & TSA style checkpoints.
