So what is it that makes 1A such a bad seat? Bulkhead, galley, lav or something else?

If the only options were 1A, and any of the window (D) seats on the 2-seat side of the aircraft, which would be better?
Still 1A.
I just think the bulkhead is a bit close to the seat, and you have no where else to put your legs, Still seat beats the other side.
