Is it really only three months? That's not bad ... perhaps monahos you could start a business garaging cars for California FTers.
To avoid California sales tax for sailboats, you have to take offshore delivery and I'm pretty sure keep the boat out of California for 6 months to a year. Whenever I've read the details of this it sounds like a real pain. But maybe if I'm ever in the market $2million Swan it would be well worth the hassle.
