OP says 讓洪小姐照原訂票行程順利搭機返回台灣, which is HX, but translated article says she took EVA. Which is right?
Last time I departed TPE (BR to HKG):
- I presented just the 6 character booking ref to the BR agent who checked in my bag. She was not interested in my passport and asked if I had an HKID. I said yes, she didn't want to see it.
- can't remember what happened on entering the secure area.
- exit Taiwan immigration only wanted to see my passport and not the boarding pass.
- BR gate agent announced that pax should keep their passport in their bag and only present BP - I was quite surprised that this would happen on an international flight, which is why I remember it clearly (as well as the check-in agent not opening my passport)
Although when flying BA from LHR to European destinations without checked bags, at no point do you ever have to present ID at the same time as your BP.
So I can see how it would happen if both pax have the same surname and a similar (or even the same name - as we know it's not always possible to tell gender in a Chinese name particularly Romanized). In any case gender is not specified on BPs so I don't really see the relevance.
In fact the title should be "pax travels on CX with a non-CX ticket"
