This past weekend I flew United from the west coast to Chicago to attend a meeting the next day. I tried to carry my carry-on suitcase onboard but by the time I got on the plane all the overhead's were full and the FA made me check my bag in. I had all my stuff in their for the meeting, shirts, shoes, toiletries, etc. They said that I would get it that night... nothing... The next morning I went to the airport... nothing. My meeting was in the afternoon so I had to go out and buy clothes that morning. Next day they find my bag and return it to me. Will United reimburse me for that clothes and shoes? I know that they are now my property but I would have never have spent that money in the first place... I came out to about $250. Help?
