Does the SD know how many connecting pax there are and who the connecting pax are? If there is a SE in Y, then do they ever grab the SE upon landing and clear the way for them out?
LOL Well they do announce that everytime when I fly from YVR-YYZ or PVG-YYZ
But no one actually cares after spending X hours in the beast. And I believe either the destination agent or the SD has a list of connecting pax as there is always an agent waiting at the gate when there is a delay involving connecting pax, one would assume if AC went all that trouble to put name and destination, surely a number count can be expected.
And I don't think AC in their right state of mind would clear the route for SE and leave the non-status on the same connecting flight behind, that will sure make a explosive CBC story
