Thanks for all the advice.

Annoyingly I can't upgrade online (it says I have to call) - I assume this is because it is a holiday booking (with hire car) as all the flights are BA.

What first seat(s) have bassinets on in the 777 and/or what seats would people recommend? Ideally I guess it would be me and the toddler in 2 adjacent (middle) seats and the wife in an aisle/window on the other side of the toddler??

Also, when we transit through LHR is it worth coming out via security and checking in at the first checkin desks (for the experience and the tags), or go through flight connections?
