Is that really the case?

I recently had a case of a delayed BA flight from SIN to SYD threatening my QF SYD WLG connection. Now, i was being pro-active and asking BA to look at moving me to a later flight. That would have initially incurred extra cost which both QF (in SIN) and BA (in SIN) told me I'd have to pay.

eventually, GGL agreed to cover the costs though as it turns out, both QF and BA in SIN overestimated time it would take to connect and I did make it to my original flight running.

I guess I don't know what QF would have said in SYD if I had explained things to them there but as said, without GGL intervention (not that I needed it in the end), both BA and QF in SIN were telling me that I needed to cover the cost.
