Last christmas was the first one I spent in Baltimore, and it snowed quite heavily on Christmas day. Being from New Zealand, this was my first white christmas, and I was very glad for the experience. I still prefer the beach and bbq of course, but it was a good time

I would recommend heading much further North though, as I believe you need to be a lot closer to Canada or probably further before you are even close to being guaranteed any snow!
