It isn't clear that analise is looking for ribs in the airport, so I'll offer some suggestions (there is pretty much nothing to eat in that airport).</font>
I despise airport food, and BBQ joints at MCI are no exception. But... if you catch a shuttle to Embassy Suites Airport, and walk across the street from the hotel, there is a small strip mall with a very good barbecue joint, Smokebox Cafe. If you are driving, it's off I-29, exit 10 (Tiffany Springs), about 3 minutes from the airport.

I don't remember if they have ribs at Zarda or not but it's worth the trip just for the fries and a pulled pork sandwich.</font>
Yes they do have ribs, and they are pretty good at
Zarda. It's quite far from the airport, but is one of my favorite BBQ places in the state (IMO, second only to Biffle's in Concordia, just about an hour west of KC on I-70).

The definitive KC BBQ, however, is Gates'. There are about a dozen all around the city. Great, great food.</font>
I am sorry, but I have to disagree somewhat. Not all locations are quite as good. Same with KC Masterpiece as well, their Plaza location can't compare with the one in Overland Park.

The good news is that I don't think you can get bad BBQ in KC.</font>
Good point!
