I'm more concerned about check-in in the UK. I'm not sure about QF but CX gave me the most royal telling off at LHR when my wife used an e-boarding pass to get into T3 early to start shopping and I was left with the bags waiting for check in to open. it's not me checking in her bags that the CX LHR GA was upset about but the fact her passport's not been checked. Fortunately we both have UK prepaid SIMs so I was able to call her and get her to visit the T3 CX lounge and get it done.
