I do need to clarify that I flew from the US to Cape Town last January as a solo female to meet up with a tour group so had no travel buddies until I arrived there. Quickly made new "friends" on the fly once we all met and no time to do advance reservations at restaurants yet it worked just fine for me. I had no opportunity to make fine dining reservations by myself and did not want to-it was what it was.
You are wise to inquire early.
Congrats on your upcoming nuptials-you are going to Cape Town at it's best weather. Hope you can do Test Kitchen-it will be quite a treat.
