The reason that I didn't add the airport transfer is because I've already booked a prepaid reservation with Consorzio Motoscafi for 100 €. I figured it would nicer to take a private motorboat straight to our hotel after 12.5 hrs of flying and get the full romantic introduction to Venice.

Thanks for the warnings about Murano tourist schemes; that's disappointing to learn. I've just gone ahead and purchased the Unica all-inclusive pass and I'm making notes from your above post.
