Are credit card fees OK for airline website?

bought a ticket at ryanair.com. Went back and looked at the email confirmation and noticed a fee of 4GBP. Curious about the fee I went back to the site and did a sample booking. Then I noticed that where it says to enter the credit card number it says a handling fee may apply. Clicking that link confirms that there is a 4GBP fee.

I guess I don't have much to complain about since the link is there even if it not in big bold letters. I probably didn't notice it because it would never even occur to me that an airline might charge for CC. How else am I supposed to pay. It says something about an electron card not having a charge, but I don't know what that is. Isn't there something about credit card companies not allowing retailers to charge such a fee. Perhaps that only applies in the US. Oh well, its only 7 bucks.
