Eurofleet (EF) operate Shorthaul flights. They have either Cabin Service Directors (CSD) or Pursers (PSR) as their in charge crew member.
Mixed Fleet is the new contract Fleet that does mixed short and long haul flying. Our in charge crew member is a Customer Service Manager (CSM). Even on longhaul, we are the only manager on board. We do however have our Main Crew who have been here at least 3 years who have been Senior Crew trained and will work what would be the CSL position on Worldwide. Internally they are referred to as World Class Crew
(WCC) but this isn't written on their name badge and wouldn't be mentioned in an announcement.
Lite is spot on with their description. However just to add detail on MF, normally a CSM would be present on all flights as the sole in charge crew member. There are times when cabin crew (who have been senior trained) will be in charge (disruption, crew shortages and flights where they are under going 'supervised or learning flights [in the case of SCCM development programmes]). In internal reference of WCC is not a specific rank or position, they can work anywhere on the aircraft but will generally be the acting SCCM.
EF 767 aircraft will carry a CSD but no purser. A320 carry a CSD or purser as SCCM. We do however on all fleets have CSD, CSM, Pursers working down.
LGW
Following a reorganisation with our colleagues at LGW, they now follow a similar rank structure to MF. They have Gatick Customer Service Managers in charge of long and short haul and cabin crew - some of which are senior trained. CM and Purser no longer exist at LGW.
