I have certainly slowed down on the high-value awards after the big increase in miles for *A partner flights.

When I do want to splurge, it usually is TG out of BKK connecting to LH out of FRA. It is still painful at 130,000 miles (as opposed to the 80,000 or so before), but a great combination for the experience.
