The requirement to verbally point out exit row regulations is governed, I believe, by each airline's home Aviation Authority. In the case of BA, the CAA requires them to ask. It might be that the Greek equivalent does not. In the US, you'll find that they just ask you to read the safety leaflet, but never check that you do so.
There are other variances - the FAA in the US allowed cell/mobile phones to be used on taxi long before the CAA and most of Europe permitted it. The Canadian and Sri Lankan authorities [I am assuming, having been on a UL flight this week] require the Cabin Crew to point out the emergency exits ahead of landing on flights above a certain flight time.
The UK DoT, and all of Europe, requires laptops and liquids out but allows shoes to be left on. The Sri Lankan security people do the exact opposite. In Israel, everything is completely different ...
