I'd say that the non-deluxe Terrace Suite is still a "real suite", though it is quite a bit smaller.

At least as of now they are listing/describing them differently on their website so you know what you're booking. When calling SPG they also saw all the different room/suite levels in their system - from City Side Room all the way up to Royal Suite.

Interestingly, only City Side and Executive Suite were available for points bookings. You could not book a Park View or Club Room on points.
