A downgrade but not the end of the world, IMO, having just flown the 763 ORD-CDG. The 763 is definitely more cramped and less private, but still lie-flat. Much better than a non-refurbed 767, or even a 757 which is still flying JFK-CDG.

No IFE, which is annoying, though they do hand out tablets (but then collect them an hour before landing).
