In that case, there's no way for me to take advantage of the "World Elite" loophole, since I have an open "World" account, correct?
I might be willing to become a guinea-pig and downgrade, just need to find a way to meet minimum spend for the new card, now that Serve is gone.
That's not likely to succeed, but is very likely to reset your 18-month clock. Right now your 18-month clock will expire in October, if you don't cancel or downgrade your current card. If you cancel or downgrade now, you're likely to have to wait until 18 months
from now.
But, on the other hand,
you still can get 25k by signing up for the Gold card, and if
that gets converted to WE at some point, you may be able to repeat
that. Repeating 25k is better than repeating nothing at all, right? (And
the Gold card requires much less spend, so it's easier to achieve the minimum spend on the Gold "naturally" just by shifting all your credit card purchases to it for a while.)
Plus, if you've never had the business card before, you can still get 50k once by signing up for the business card. That has the same spend requirement as the personal Citi AA Plat card, though, so make sure you know how to achieve that spend without going broke.
