Regarding the exit row seats: I flew ATH-SKG-ATH this past weekend and sat in the exit row on both flights.

When doing OLCI, it was pointed out that the seats were exit row and then I had to check 2-3 items such as do I speak English and could assist if needed.

This may be why you were not told on the flights.
