I am EXP on American and was looking at booking a Qatar business class flight on aa.com. I also checked the same RT flight on the Qatar Airways site and found it to be a couple thousand dollars cheaper. Could that possibly be right? I earn double credit card miles for booking on aa.com but that doesn't nearly counterbalance the savings.
