This is a funny thread. I have been 1K since the program started. Over the last 5 years I've averaged more than 200K BIS miles per year, mostly in coach with $40K-$50K of spend. In 2016 they finally gave me GS on $56K of spend. The GS benefits are definitely better than 1K and I'm appreciative of it. I certainly feel for people that fly hundreds of K miles in coach as 1K - that was me.
