I dropped purposefully from 1K to plat as soon as I hit 2MM last year. I also made the decision, since I would be flying UA less, to not buy club membership (first time in 15+ years). Not worth the price for the few times I can't get into a lounge on my own.

Credit card gives me two UA club visits per year. US gives me one. I have Diner's Club - gets me into ATL (although nothing special there) and a few more locations. IAD I can get into LH lounge when traveling UA. And of course, any international travel gets me into *A lounges.

So, maybe I have to do without for my annual Hawaii trip with Family, For $400, I can live with that.
