So if I pay the $50, but there is an aircraft change to a different 77W that doesn't do PE, then I will get a regular preferred seat. There is nothing I can do about that because the $50 seat in PE isn't marketed as PE it's marketed as preferred seat.

So I should buy the seat with the expectation I'm probably just going to get a preferred seat, that way I won't be disappointed.
