So far this year I've successfully been able to upgrade several times XN -> PN using RPU/GPU instruments:

4 seats IAH - LGA in January and 1 seat on the return (Thurs departure, Sun return);
4 seats roundtrip IAH - SJO in March (Tues departure, Sat return)
