I know from reading the forum that PG don't check through international baggage anymore, and that the QR check-in only opens three hours before departure. Is there any way we can use one of the lounges before QR check-in opens?
IF PG refuse a through check-in, you are going to have to go through immigration at BKK to collect your bags, then exit the system to check-in again at the QR desks.

No way round this, unless you blag your way through BKK transfers and leave your bags spinning on the carousels until ready to engineer yourself through immigration and pick them up.

You could try pestering the QR team at any open desks, or in their landside office (this has worked for me with another airline, elsewhere: no idea if QR is susceptible to special peading).

Failing that, there are any number of eating/snacking places beneath the departure level. But of course you'll have pay
