Draw a triangle of the three points. Calculate the mileage of each segment.
* If the untraveled segment (technical term ARNK) is shorter than both of the traveled segments, then you have an open jaw (counted as a roundtrip).
* If the ARNK is longer than any one of the traveled segments, then you have two one ways (counted as a oneway with a stopover).

Are you serious with this question? While I've seen convoluted routings in the MP award calendar where the general rule I outlined above was clearly broken, I would never expect something like that to price out as a oneway, even if you try your hardest to convince an agent to do so.
