No, not really.

Apart from the narrow strip of riverine gallery forest along the Sabie River, which forms the southern Boundary of the Sabi Sand, and then runs right past Lower Sabie much farther downstream, they are very different.

Drive north from Lower Sabie on the H10 and you get vast open plains, which you can appreciate best from the lookout on Nkumbe Mountain. Head in other directions and you will soon find yourself in distinctly different habitats. That variety is one of Lower Sabie's attractions. Such diversity you will not find in the Sabi Sand, and game densities around Lower Sabie are much higher as well.

And, at risk of coming across as pedantic, it is called the Sabi Sand Reserve. Plenty of commercial websites try to make a buck out of that spurious "s", as a quick Google search will show.
