Has anyone been able to cancel the signature card and then get the bonus points for the premium card. I grabbed the signature when the bonus was double in a prior year, tried applying for the premium shortly after but it was declined (have good credit, decline send to be because I already had one card).

Would like to cancel and score a second bonus. Looking for info from someone that has done so.
