I had the pleasure of traveling to Skopje this past weekend and was surprised to discover a nearly finished Marriott hotel. The hotel is very centrally located.

I looked at the Marriott website and saw that it is planned to open March 2016.
Based upon the number of items stacked and viewable through the windows, I view even late March as a challenging opening date. Perhaps it is planned to o a soft launch of some of the rooms.

I knew very little about Skopje and was overall very surprised as to how nice the central squares and the area along the river are. Once the Marriott is opened it will be a good additional excuse to revisit the city.

I look forward to the first review of this hotel.
