Hyatt Gold Passport Account History - Audit Trail?
I'm getting frustrated trying to keep track of my account balance with Hyatt.
If I make a redemption, my balance goes down, but there's no entry for it under "Account Details." At least, not until the stay transpires.
Similarly, if I cancel a reservation, my balance increases, but there's again no entry to account for the change in the Current Points.
I find this all very confusing. I can't take a known balance at one point and reconcile a later balance based on it, at least not without going through each reservation I have and calculating that in. When I make a redemption or cancel a reservation, I generally have to rely on AwardWallet to tell me what the change was to the account.
I just had a stay where I was planning to pay 3K/night for a club room. I assume that was deducted from my balance when I made the reservation. But there was no entry. I checked in to the hotel and they told me that as a Diamond, they would have upgraded me to the club room anyway, so they were refunding the 12K points (4 nights - very nice of them). Fortunately, the next morning AwardWallet told me that I had 12K more Hyatt points. But otherwise, I wouldn't have known to immediately check the balance on my phone at check-in and then save that number to check for the 12K points later.
I'm coming from the SPG world which has a very strong audit trail.
Is there any way to download more complete and current info? Or see it on-screen somewhere? Or is this just the way it is with Hyatt?
