Not the most pleasant walk to the Parkroyal from HI, doubt the food is any better; neither will be great but will be good enough. Sadly the good food at MEL is located international airside, so not accessible unless you are flying. There is a Cafe Vue Express landside in the International terminal (T2, the middle building) which has take-away box lunches and probably the best food you can access, but not a hot meal.
