it is a lucrative business and many people aint bother or aware of the stand taken by the hotel. As a hotel, which maximise profit, there is always the tendency to "cheat" if there is no repercussion for going against the set of policies. Once caught, i can always say, ooops, miscommunication and sorry when they have earned so much from that mistake.

the first reply from starwood, they take the case seriously, second reply for the las vegas hotel, they take the case quite seriously.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. SLS Las Vegas, A Tribute Portfolio Resort recently joined the Starwood portfolio and we’re in contact with them to remove shark fin from the menu. We sincerely apologize that this happened as we take the global ban of shark fin quite seriously.

after this, if there a third one, ooops sorry, actually we dont care? just some thing for us to think about.
