We went to Caneel on our honeymoon 23 years ago and have been back 9 times. The weddings that they do up at Turtle Bay are beautiful and amazing. Turtle is our favorite beach at which to stay (especially for a Terp). It is farthest from the main hotel, but to us, the benefits far outweigh any minor inconvience.

The most significant change we have seen over the years is the influx of families with small chidren. Caneel used to be adults only, except around school vacations. Kids are not allowed on certain parts of the resort, which is in keeping with the no radio, no television and no phone in the room quiet atmosphere.

I strongly recommend a Caneel wedding, or at least a Caneel honeymoon.
