I've been to LAX so many times I have memorized the two recorded messages that play outside the terminals (the "White Zone" ones are gone).
Message #1: (nice voice, male)
"Your attention please. Buses, shuttles and vans may be boarded along the center aisle in front of this terminal.
L-A-X shuttles to other terminals and airport parking lots B and C may be boarded under the blue sign. Car rental shuttles may be boarded under the purple sign. Shared ride vans may be boarded under the orange sign. Hotels and commercial parking shuttles may be boarded under the red sign. Buses and long distance vans may be boarded under the green sign.
Please use the crosswalk to cross through
(or "to", I can't tell) the center aisle."
Then, message #2 plays: (condescending tone of voice, male, and a Midwestern accent in the last sentence)
"No unattended vehicles shall be parked at the curb at any time. Unattended vehicles will be cited and towed away immediately. Arriving passengers may meet their parties at the terminal sidewalk."
You know what would make for a harsh punishment for an infraction? Having to make repetitive announcements at the airport all day long!
