I guess that most of us have long since learned to manage our expectations.
The reality is that it's a complex form of Public Transport and generally heads towards the lowest common denominator, regardless of class of travel. Fly International First on any airline to IAD, and you still end up on a 'people eater' ... I've
stood next to senior UK politicians doing that. So, simply, at some locations at some times, you end up on a bus mingling with the perceived common people, cold and wet and uncomfortable. It happens everywhere, unless you happen to be a VVIP or Royalty, when you get a car.
We fly J/F all the time. The lack of rose petals doesn't bother us, nor the lack of red carpets or expedited 'whatever'. The only thing we care about is getting airside at destination as soon as possible and getting on with the reason we started the journey in the first place. The rest is just something to be endured, like taxes.
