BA denial of AA mileage credit [part pay with Avios issues]
Hi,
In December, I flew a transatlantic BA flight in business class that I credited to AA. Did not receive the miles, so after the 15 days or so I posted a mileage request. After some weeks I received a request for flight documents, which I sent. Still no mileage credit. I called in last week and was told by AA agent that a) BA had denied the mileage credit again and b) this time AA escalates to a team that will actually talk to someone at BA and this might take "up to 60 days" which I frankly find ridiculous - it has already been over two months since the flights.
The flights were bought "part pay with Avios" and they booked to Club World, I and C class, which both are AA mileage earning.
I'm wondering about a couple of things: would anyone have a theory why is BA denying the credit and has anyone had a similar situation and would have some ideas how to speed up the process? I would earn quite a lot of miles from these flights that I'd like to put in use before the devaluation and additionally, credit from these would make me ExPlat on AA. Now I'm missing months of ExPlat, which is annoying.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
