However, that requirement does not apply to qualification for 2017 status. It applies only if you try to early qualify for status for the remainder of 2016. So, unless you're doing that, it's irrelevant.

The new requirements make it easier for me in a way... my high $ value flights are through AC while my high segment flights are through UA haha.
It's weird for early qualification it's a different standard tho.
