Everyone always get AQM/AQS/AQD for a flight is be operated by Air Canada, no matter how you purchase the ticket (unless it is a reward ticket, off course). Therefore, in your situation, this is why you get them for the UA market, UA flight number, but AC operated flights.

For non AC operated flights, you will also get AQM/AQS (if the fare class qualified for one) but in order to get AQD for non AC operated flights, it need to be ticket by Air Canada (hence the 014 ticket number) with AC flight number on it.

hope this help.
Sorry, I should have been more clear in my first post.

There's an AIR CANADA requirement for AQS/AQM. Half of AQS/AQM must be AC. What qualifies as AC? AC Metal only or AC issued ticket (eg: bought on AC website with AC flight # but on UA metal)?
