The AC flight number exists for any flight booked through Aircanada.com I think.
014 is referring to the first 3 digits of your ticket number and 014 mean this ticket was processed/ticketed by Air Canada.
Everyone always get AQM/AQS/AQD for a flight is be operated by Air Canada, no matter how you purchase the ticket (unless it is a reward ticket, off course). Therefore, in your situation, this is why you get them for the UA market, UA flight number, but AC operated flights.
For non AC operated flights, you will also get AQM/AQS (if the fare class qualified for one) but in order to get AQD for non AC operated flights, it need to be ticket by Air Canada (hence the 014 ticket number) with AC flight number on it.
hope this help.
