I can't imagine what local Aeromexico staff not appearing sorry there was no lounge has anything to do with the issue. The people one interacts with at the airport have no say in whether there's a lounge there or not. Based on passenger load, etc. We flew American Airlines fc, connecting to an international biz class flight, out of SEA, and there was no AA lounge there. The partner lounge (Alaska Airlines) allowed only AA passengers who were Admiral Club members. Such things happen.
Actually they represent the airline so they at least owe an explanation to the pax why there is no lounge available. As an AM pax on a DL-coded flight I also ended up at T2 with no lounge and since T2 is not connected to any of the other terminals directly, couldn't really go back to T5 or TBIT. Very disappointing, especially given the fact that there is a Virgin lounge at T2 and DL own a lot of Virgin stock, yet no service to DL-coded AM passengers. Poor form from AM in my opinion.
