Have luggage and travelling on a NZ Passport.
For those familiar with MEL do you think I have enough time to clear security, get bag then go back through departure security to catch my Royal Brunei flight?
Tickets are on separate PNRs so I cannot do a connection.

Should be fine, unless the QF flight (operated by Jetstar is cancelled or several hours late). This doesn't happen often but is a possibility (e.g. WLG airport is closed by fog for hours on several days a year).
