Yes much depends on ones state of mind as well. One minute can seem like ten when you get the hump.
I think life's too short to be timing how long the wait is on an air bridge.
There have been studies that compared perceived waiting times and actual waiting times.
They would spot someone at the end of the queue and time the process they were going through - immigration, post office, super market, GP appointment - and would then ask that person how long they had been waiting when they got seen.
More often than not the perceived time was longer than the actual time and in many cases several multiples wrong.
