Given the parameters I gave above, which CC is better? I want to redeem for 1 free night every year.

It appears a ton of Marriott hotels are category 6 and above. In some cities, it seems like they don't even have category 1-5.
Exactly the same thing I'm trying to determine. Just picked up IHG for on-going excellent anniversary bonus, and am trying to determine what 2nd Chase hotel card I want.

Hyatt seems to be better (assuming availability where you stay). What would potentially shake things up would be how/if the merger with Starwood shakes things up. (ie. how will the Starwood properties fit into the Marriott categories?). Personally, I think I'm going to go with Hyatt
