Ah, haven't seen this topic for a while

For me, it all depends on the length of the flight. For a long-haul, there is no way I'm keeping my shoes on for the journey. Any request to do so will be met with a polite but firm refusal.

But then I have the courtesy to make sure I have clean feet/socks for the duration.
