I believe its actually the opposite UA_Eagle...in order for most planes to get airborne, they need to rotate in some fashion, so to find out the minimum speed for rotation and liftoff, they haul back the stick and let 'er rip from there....not hauling back the stick and going full throttle would just have the plane roll down the runway most likely...
