Not just BA - Iberia have done the same. A friend of mine went to work in Peru last year, and he used to travel back and forth on Iberia via MAD, always with his full allowance of 2 x 32 kilos. He has now started travelling via MIA because of the reduced baggage allowance on the route to Madrid.
