I guess I'm the oddball here. I visited the newly refurbished "high" A club a few nights ago and was not impressed.

Yes, it's a much fresher/cleaner look than the previous design. But the colors and furnishings seemed to be a cheap version of IKEA (said from someone whose house is about 80% IKEA furnished ).
My number one complaint is the noise level. The TVs around the bar were playing their broadcast sound and it echoed throughout the club due to the "hard" flooring and furnishings. The atmosphere of the whole place just seemed cold and impersonal.

And I like the "low" B Club that was remodeled a year or so ago. The colors/decor are more subdued and relaxing, yet still modern. The TVs aren't blaring and the carpeting absorbs/softens most of the ambient sounds.
